EvoSec Project Website
EvoSec is a University of Luxembourg project.
This project takes place in the ILIAS laboratory of the Computer Science and Communications (CSC) Research unit.
This project aims at applying and extending new generations of heuristics and meta-heuristics for optimization & search issues in security and reliability.
Professor Pascal Bouvry's team is in charge of developing new heuristics and meta-heuristics for NP-hard problems (i.e. for problems that cannot be solved optimally on classical computers).
The knowledge and activity of the team is publicized through the organization of various conferences/workshops and through the presentation of results in
international publications.
This work on algorithmic is applied to various domains.
The current project focuses on its application on the security, trust and reliability domains in order to meet UL Priority 1.
Project Objectives:
- Supervise doctoral studies in the field
- Study and development of the Artificial Immune System paradigm applied to Intrusion Detection
- Study and development of the notion of Trust Management in ad hoc networks
- Development of a new generation of heuristics for reliable scheduling on p2p environments
